I was discussing this with a friend of mine. Do you think it can be done? It's not a drop-in swap, but can it be done with some enginuity? Maybe some modifications with the mounts, and some wiring wizardry, and somehow getting the tranny to fit as well. What do you guys think?

A big mountain to climb. I forget where I saw it, but they dropped in a TYpe S motor into a new Si. I'm sure it can be done, but just won't be as routine as a B-series swap. Keep us updated if you decide to persue this route.

I cant wait to see the new SI's running prepped CRV engines...........i hate being poor though.....cant afford one of my own.......

wass the point to put that in a prelude ?
you can get h22a for like what... 1/10th of the price of K20a2 and it's the same HP only 5 speeds..


there are lots of electrical differences with the older gens and the new ones (2001+ global small platform)

a good combo from CRV + B16 does the same if not more HP for like 1/3rd of the price and installed ..

I think he is worried about realiabilty in a CRVtec, so he wants a stock 2.0 vtec motor.
