Re: K20 questions?? (Fasthtch)
By K20typs frank, I assume you mean a K24 bottom end and k20 head...? There are different types of k24 bottom ends, k24a1,2,3,4. k24a2 being the tsx which will except the k20 head along with the crv excepting the head, the k24a3/4 have piston to valve clearance issues.
It is really no harder to work on a K than a B, the install will be a little harder though.
Price wise can vary greatly. You'd really need to sit down and research all about the K and your options.
I'd swing by k20a.org to really dig in and figure out what you want.
Good luck.

I found the k swap to be one of the easiest to do as far as dropping the motor in the engine bay. I had an h swap before i just did the k. There is a few things that have to be done... nothing big...k20a.org is a good place... If i was you and wanted to build a really bad *** motor...just buy a type s k20 swap...then when you get ready just pull the swap out...drop the k20 bottom end and turn around and put the k24 bottom end back on...you can get a complete k24 motor from the accord which is the k24a4 for 1000 on k20a.org, but you would have to change pistons...and since your wanting a high compression thats perfect. And trust me you will want to spend the 1000 to get a long block then pick up a bare block for 4-500...you get all the sensors needed so you dont have to rob your k20 of the sensors...then you can sell a good k20 bottom end and not have quite so much in the whole swap.
