Default K20 in ef8/ee8 , block height issues

I have the 1st option on a '02 CTR with side damage. This might be an interesting project to build the first K20 CRX in Europe but what's holding me back are the dimensions of the block.

Anyone?

dunno that would be a very tricky swap.

have you tried to measure the height of the motor itself then compare it with the height of a b18 motor

cut a hole in the hood - been done before https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=869343 - BTW he rips the 1/4 mile in 11.8 seconds cantact Pacman if you have more questions - I believe he is the only one with a k powered CRX

Yeah, if you want any kind of reasonable ground clearance, you will need a hole in the hood or a custom hood.

Ive put a motor in our drag crx,but never actually got it running and sold the car engineless to get a eg hatch.I had a one piece front end so hood clearance wasnt a problem, but you will need to cut the hood or get an aftermarket cowl hood to have the axle angle as straight as possible. You will have clearance issue with the rear crossmember. The transmission hits it so you will need to massage it with a hammer and possibly cut it.You have to do this along the whole rear crossmember,as you wont have any room for the header to pass either.
