Default Jerky, stagnate acceleration...

I have a B20vtec, when I accelerate almost half the time it jerks or is stagnate (barely pulls). Also jerks when shifting, it's hard to do a smooth shift.

Funds were low after the swap, so it's still running on old/used B20 spark wires and plugs. The distributor is from a 99 Si and rotor hasn't been changed. Still
running on the B20 injectors.

ECU is P73, fuel pump is 99 Si. Running on a stock exhaust system.

Please help. TIA.

since you got the p73 in there ...you prolly got the oil pump that goes with that ecu as well
if im not mistaken its the B-20 block and the vtec head throws off that oil pump sensor causing that jerkiness your talkin about

get a jumper harness and a chipped p-28

The B20 oil pump is the same as the P73, so you're saying I'll have to change ECUs? Are you positive about this? If so are they alternatives to this problem?

is the chek engine light on?

i would try another ecu and see where it takes you
rarely unless there totally messed up ..plug wires and plugs wont cause that

CEL is not on, so it's not throwing any codes. So you don't think it's fuel delivery or spark management huh? You think the problem is coming from the ECU then? I was hoping it was just dirty injectors or something. If I dynoed, the powerband would be VERY zigg-zagged.

If you're that positive about it, I will look into that asap. Any other suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Im pretty damn sure..LOL

if you rev your car and try to hold it at or around 3k and the engine surges a little bit on its own ...its the ecu in this case

3K in neutral? What do you mean by surge?

just try to hold the car @ 3k rpm

the rpms wont hold steady on and off load ...thats what causes the jerkiness

Well, it's pretty steady reving to 3k and holding it there in neutral. It's just the acceleration, it feels like it's killing my engine mounts.

Reving in neutral is no problem, it's smooth. It's regular accelteration to punching it, that's when it starts jerking. So if I want it to be smooth, my foot has to glide easy on the pedal when gassing it.
