JDM Sir2 b16 snd distributor rotor
I was in the process of replacing the distributor rotor with a DEL Sol DOHC VTEC rotor and noticed that the one it came with (JDM), has no opening for the screw to hold the rotor in place. The USDM Delsol rotor does not fit. The opening of the rotor is to much of a tight fit. The JDM rotor is just a push in type with no screw holding it in place. What can I use as a replacement? Help me out here......

whaaaaat? that sounds odd...
There should be a screw that holds the rotor in place.
Are you trying to change the rotor while the distr. is still bolted to the head?
If so...take the distr. completely off, take the cap off, rotor should spin freely now, spin the rotor around until you can see that little bitch-*** phillips screw - which I might add is a pain in the *** to unscrew sometimes. Take off the plastic sheild (if it has one), replace the rotor, replace the shield (again, if it has one), slap on the new cap, bolt the distr. back on the head, plug the spark plugs back in, turn your car on, use a timing gun to adjust your timing accordingly and be off!

Re: JDM Sir2 b16 snd distributor rotor (KayOs)
Katman:
Believe it or not, my JDM sir 2 distributor (off the vehicle by the way) came with a push in rotor. The push in rotor has no opening for the insertion of a screw, although the distributor does have the screw insertion holes. No screw was holding it in place...I found this very strange. I assumed this had something to do with JDM rotors. I had to use a puller to remove the rotor since it was stuck tight to the distributor. I think it was hammered in.....
Time comes to put the distributor onto engine and I figure the DelSol DOHC rotor should be no problem.
Guess again...it does not fit....It is not wide enough.....Don't now what type of rotor will fit this distributor......Any suggestions?

wow that's weird..
however I don't think it's a JDM only thing....I have a JDM EG6 distributor on my car now and it has the screw-type rotor. Hmm...I dunno what ta tell ya...
Maybe try looking into one of these rotors:
92-93 GSR/B17 rotor
94-95 GSR/B18C rotor
97-98 ITR rotor
99+Si coupe rotor
