JDM p30 or USDM p30?
Which would be better for a b16a2 swap into an EG? Right now its running on a p72, but its for a 1.8 motor so im sure its running rich as hell.

the usdm p30 has no speed govenor while the jdm one does i forget where it is-
either one will work
or you can chip an ecu and have a program burned to a chip made for your car/motor

I would use the US computer because it will bolt into the car like stock (if it's an OBD-1 car)... If the motor is JDM, you will have to bypass the VTEC pressure switch, but that would be the case with the P72 you already have (if it's a US P72)...

he said it's a b16a2 so that means it's a usdm motor

either one in stock form will work to run your motor, but as Amy says, the JDM ecu will have a speed limiter (at about 115mph). You can have either ecu reprogrammed as mentioned.
Running the P72 ecu isn't running that rich on a B16..
the shitty thing about a P72 is the early VTEC crossover point of 4400-4800rpm. That puts a dip/bog in the power band. If you had a VTEC controller and raised VTEC to abeut 5300-5500rpm, then you'd be back on track...
