hey i have a 92 hatch and have a gsr block with type r head..i jus got the 4-1 jdm headers....will those bolt directly up to my stock cat? i have a skunk2 catback exhaust ...everythign fit perfect with my stock b16 headers...do i really need to get a new cat becuz thas what i've been reading on the forums?

 

No it wont bolt up. You will need to do a custom axel back w/ aftermarket cat.

Is it the true JDM ITR 4-1 or is it a DC Sports or knock-off? The length will be fine, so no problems there. The only concern you will have is the true JDM 4-1 has a 2.5" collector which won't match up to the cat properly. You don't necessarily need a new cat but the flange will need modded by an exhaust shop. It would probably be easier to just get another cat though.

 

yes they are the true jdm 98 spec itr headers.....so it wont bolt onto my stock cat?

 

I think that http://www.landspeedracing.com makes a direct fit cat for a JDM Type-R header to USDM style exhaust.
