Default JDM B18c (gs-r) in a 89 Integra .....legal ..and fitment Questions??

I going to have the ability to buy a JDM B18c ...from a guy i know ....hes had it for a few years ...has prolly close to 100k miles on it ...needs rings ...burning oil ....

but i can get it for dirt cheap .....and rebuild it with some overbored CTR pistons ...

but from what i am told ..the JDM engines dont have a VIN number ....by a matter of legailty ...how would i prove legal owership of this motor if i bought it ..?

without a VIN # ...would a police officer think its stolen ....?

does the JDM B18c (gs-r) have the same style intake manifold as the USDM , this engine will be swapped into a DA3 89 Integra , and clearence from the firewall with a B16+ OEM IM is very tight ...i'm afraid a GS-R style IM will not clear ....

unfortunantly he wont be sellin the JDM LSD tranny he has ...hopefully i can find a B16 tranny ..or a Ys1 ....

any help will be greatly appreciated ..thanks
