There isn't much difference, but the harnesses on the JDM ITR motor is for RHD, and the US is for LHD.

If you get a JDM ITR swap, I would recommend getting a US Integra harness, and the swap can be pretty much plug and play and plug into your Civic main shock tower harness.

If you get a US GSR or ITR harness, you will not need to wire up anything other than Knock Sensor if you use the P73 ECU and convert to OBD2. But I would recommend remaining OBD1 and use a chipped ecu such as a P28.

Here are some helpful links where I've posted some good info on this easy-*** swap:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=543167

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=540308

Before you read the rest of my reply here (this means anyone reading) I suggest reading those links first because honestly I just don't feel like repeating myself so much.

I'd look for a USDM swap because you will know for sure the mileage and condition. JDM motors are sold under the false pretense that they are "30-40K miles" which is 100% total HORSESHIT. A friend of mine runs probably the best salvage yard in the industry and he also imports JDM motors too.

While he was in Japan he saw shitloads of 120K+ kilometer swaps which is easily over 80K miles. He told me that he has yet to see a USDM B18C5 self destruct like a few JDM Spec R motors here on Honda-Tech. IM the member named blykins and ask him about his JDM R engine that mysteriously broke a retainer and dropped a valve into his combustion chamber which in turn destriyed the entire head and rendered the block virtually useless.

That alone plus the numerous reasons listed in those two topics linked above would keep me from buying a JDM swap.

If anyone is too lazy to click those links I provided then shame on you. You are missing step-by-step insructions on how to place a USDM B18C5 or JDM B18C (ITR) engine into your 1992-1995 Civic.

Am I correct in assuming that this step-by-step install will be the same for a B18C (GSR) swap as well?

bolt in procedure is exactly the same where you drop a JDM or US ITR engine in your 94 EG civic. The JDM ITR engine produces a bit more power over the US ITR engine though....(has higher compression pisstonz)

To B18C5-EH2

I read your posts pertaining to this topic and had one question. I have a 95 si hatch and was wondering if the engine harness from an obdII ls swap would plug into the three grey plugs on my car, I totally agree that the ITR will plug in but was not sure if the ls would as well. Thanks
