Default If you have an EG with an LS swap...

I have an EG, and i want to get a swap... The LS is more in my price range and i have a few questions:

1. did you run into any problems, not only during the install but even after.
2. how long have you had your swap
3. how RELIABLE is the swap

Thanks

1. The only problem I ran into was a bit of over heating, but I just needed a new thermostat and the problem was fixed. No problems at all after that. Runs nice n clean!
2.I have had my swap for almost 10 months now. I like it alot, not too much power, but not too little.
3.Swap is pretty reliable...just keep up the maitenance like you would on a stock motor (oil changes, new timing belt etc.) and you should be fine.

it is a good swap to get.. especially if you want to turbo it.. i had a 97 ls motor in a 93 dx hb.. but dont expect it to be super fast.. if you do alot of racing you can almost out run any car with basic bolt ons.. stock motor in a stock car. if you try to run a cx hatch with b18c.. you can hang it up.. i got whipped tons of times. ha but overall it is a nice swap! if you get a good deal then go for it.. i paid 800 for a complete 97 swap with 55k miles from a local women, she totalled her car etc.. so i couldnt go wrong but if your paying 2400shipped or somewhere around that ball park then save up for a gsr... good luck, later

oh look at the top are you talking about b16a2? or b18b?

I had an LS motor in my '93 cx.
It was a '98 motor running of a '94 ecu.
Had it for 2 years and had zero problems.
In my gutted hatch(1960lbs w/out me in it) w/ gsr tranny and JUN ultralight flywheel, I beat numerous b16a equipped civics and crxs.

Good swap for the money.
