IACV Wires reversed?
Hey guys ive been having an ongoing idle issue where the car will idle steady and then drop down a bit every so often. So I was wondering seeing as i went from a 3-wire to a 2-wire IACV, what would happen if i had the 2 wires reversed? Would it throw a code automatically or would it just not allow the IACV plunger to move in the right direction causing the car to idle irratically and not throw a code at all? If this is the case then maybe i will switch the wires on the IACV plug and that might fix my problem?

Re: IACV Wires reversed? (scarlemthug)
When I had the wires on my IACV reversed it threw a code and the idle went back and forth between 500 and about 1500rpm constantly.

hmmm, i might try it out and see what happens. I figured since the wires are to just tell the IACv when to open the plunger having the wires reversed wouldnt throw a code.
