i painted mine w/ some hi temp engine block paint and it hasn't flaked at all, it should hold up nicely

why even paint it? i jsut striped all the paint off, and it looked good. I did spray clear hi-temp paint, but it still looked cool. maybe just sand blast it. the pits from snad blasting it sparkels cool.

Yeah. I sripped the crinkle coat off with some awesome paint stipper in a foaming spray can. Just sprayed it on and hosed off the old paint. It took like 10 mins! The bare aluminum had some blotchy spots, so I decided to paint it.

I'll post up a pic tonight. I can't remember the name right now. I can't tell you how great the stuff worked. Spray on(don't inhale-trust me!), wait 5-10 mins, and hose off. Cake!

use Aircraft Stripper. comes in a blue can w/ a white airplane on it..you can buy it at wal-mart for like 4 bucks a can.

Looks good I painted my sohc vlave cover the aluminum color by dupli-color and it turned out awesome (no pics yet) too bad my engine is dead and it was all for nothing...
