I jsut got a whole 89 prelude SI. It has the b20a5 motor in it. The car is in perfect shape. Nothing wrong, not even any rust. I am parting out the car, unless I can get a good offer on the whole car.
but does anyone know if I can use parts off the 89 b20a5 motor and use them in my 95 b18c1 motor? THey are both b series motors, but the years are so far aparts. The parts I would use were oil pan, and pistons. And maybe some other parts. Let me know if these motors can swap parts or not. Thanx

really. those motors suck? Ok. well, Il still going to part out the car.
Do you know If I can use the disk brakes off the prelude on my 92 hatch? The prelude has 4 wheel disk, that would be nice on my hatchy.

crower uses the crankshaft to make stroker kits but I dont know the amount they would charge to machine it nor the rod length.

If the pistons in the lude were the same bore size, and i'm not sure if they are. The lude's would still not have vtec valve reliefs. Stroke the c1 and get some forged pistons. Sure it's more expensive, but that's what you've gotta do to do it right.

95mm stroke, 81mm bore, 9:1 compression, 47.3cc chamber volume, 142.75mm rod length, 1.5:1 rod:stroke ratio. That crankshaft will drop in the B18C to make 1958cc, though the B20A5 may have an odd deck height. look on http://www.crvtec.com
nothing else from the motor but the crank is worth swapping, then you need different rods.

OK. Thanx guys. I will probably just sell the car whole then. About how much is the car worth? KBB says $2500 for it. But i dunno bout that.
It doesn't have any rust, and its in really good clean condition, except for one dent on the hood, but its a good car. If anyone is interested in the car, let me know. Ill sell it cheap.
