I have been trying for the last 4 hrs to get b16a hydro in 93 dx hb. Car had AUTOMATIC trans now converted to manual. the pass mount seems wrong. Have I done something stupid or is there some different mount I need. The trans is against the passenger frame rail. What is wrong? This is supposed to be a drop in deal. Help me please.

 

Is anyone out there? I really need some help on this one. The motor came with the 5spd mounts and I an using them with no luck. jap spec b16a hydro 92 dx hb

 

Its not a straight drop. For some reason I don't understand Honda made this chassis with an automatic mount and a 5 speed mount. I know that Place Racing has a mount you can buy to mount a 5 speed tranny in and auto chassis. Or my friend had the guy that did his swap put about 2.5 inches of washers on each bolt to mount the tranny side. Or you can cut off to mount on the frame and re weld it. Good luck man.

since you have a 92-95 civic....
you're suppose to use the FRONT tranny mount from a 94+ integra or the 5speed front tranny mount that comes with JDM 92+ B16A swaps- if you got one that is.
You can reuse your civic's SOHC engine's TOP tranny mount on the B-series hydro tranny.
