How much would you pay for this car?
I'm considering selling my car..but im not sure how much I should ask. A friend of mine just sold his EG coupe hybrid for $12k, and my car has pretty much the same setup as his and is just as clean as his was. Unfortunately, nobody around here wants to pay that much for a civic. What would you say is a fair asking price.
1992 Civic VX
The car has:
B18C1- GSR crank and rods us type r pistons
Type R head, cams, valvetrain.
Skunk program on p28 ecu
Japan Integra R 4-1 header
Del sol vtec tranny
ACT HD clutch
Fidanza flywheel
B&M fpr
Stiffened motor mounts (not sure what kind, but they work well!)
GSR master cylinder and booster
GSR rear disc brakes
GSR f/r sway bars
Koni yellow shocks and ground control coilovers
Goodridge Stainless steel brake lines
Civic HX 14" wheels
Blitz Exhaust system 2.5" piping
All new interior panels, window seals, carpeting, and floormats
new factory frost white paint job in 1998
the back hatch area inside the car is painted and clearcoated.
It also has some dope MB quart midrange speakers and tweeters with crossover.
This car gets 32 mpg and hasnt given me any problem ever.
It made 197 hp and 134 ft lbs torque on the dyno and made a best pass of 13.0@108 at the drag strip...it would go mid 12s with slicks without a doubt but this car doesnt see the drag strip too much...it's more of a daily driver/street ownage vehicle.
Check http://www.projectboredom.com/willis/ for the rest of the pics.
..Also, the car comes with FULL interior...i just choose to drive with no rear seats.
You would really have to see the car in person and ride in it to understand how nice this car is..but I just want some opinions.
How much should i be asking for this car?

I think that is a sweet *** car. Nice sleeper look.
If I was looking for a car I would consider yours.

i agree with drag
modded cars get nothing for resale unless its a show car and it WINS or it runs an 11 in the 1/4

damn...only $9k. I think I may just sell the motor/trans and keep the shell for my new project. I just thought i could get more since the car is so clean...no dents and new interior, etc....but i guess not.

this is what i would do...
as it is i would pay around 7k the most....thats cause its a hybrid its hard to sell these in heavily modified condtion...
so do this:
take out the drive train sell it...
take out the extras sell it...ie. exhaust and many more
return it to semi-stock condtion with sohc vtec and sell it....
you'll defiantly make the money

haha...no thanks, but i would consider trading for a 94-00 teg...preferably an rs or ls. I'm still not totally sure i want to sell it...but this car is so reliable that I'm bored with it..lol. I think I may rebuild it soon if I don't sell it...my friend has a JG redline series head that hes not using and I may just pick that up along with some toda Bs and freshen up the bottom end..new bearings, rings, endyn rollerwaves.. ...the car would go 11s after that im pretty sure..

That would be one hell of a sweet daily driver just the way it is. Damn near perfect in fact. It's inconspicuous, seems to be impressively quick yet is still reliable? And it's got the practicality of a hatch...

very nice looking car.
fact is parting out the car is going to be a big pain. also, it's tough to sell worked motors. people always think private buyers are lying in what parts they used internally because there is really no way of checking. at most you'll get $4000 for your swap package. anything above that and people will just buy a jdm itr swap package. now that's the most. then you're left with a modded sohc civic which is worth at most $5000 especially since it's a 92.
if you really want to move on, selling it as a whole is your best bet. list it for $11,000-$10,000 and someone will eventually bite.
