How much hp from a stock ls/vtec
How much hp from a stock ls/vtec
b18a stock block
b17 stock head
what kind hp will this net me and what would the compression will it come out to be
And what tranny to use its going in a 93 civic but am using a cable tranny in there now its a S1 keep the S1 or find a y1 or ys1

i think that the power made by a stock ls/vtec is around the same as a stock b18c1 gsr motor. i think compression is low, at around 9.2:1 or something, i would do a search, theres lots of info kicking around. check this link out; http://web.csuchico.edu/~dnewman/lsvtec/dyno.html
it should give you what you looking for. personally i would keep the shorter geared tranny, i think its s1
? if you were staying n/a then the shorter gears help keep the motor in vtec.

compression will be 9.538:1 with stock gasket and all. depending on what cams and manifolds you use and how well the motor is built and condition will determine the hp output.
