How fast should an h22 in a civic be? is 14.3 right?
Well as you no I have been building an h22 in a civic but i'm still not done, but I just ran my friends at the track and I think it is kinda slow this is what I ran
R/T .850
60" 2.233
330 6.073
1/8 9.342
MPH 76.12
1000 12.095
1/4 14.397
MPH 98.50
also don't you think it's kinda a high MPH for a 14.3 pass? cause with my GSR I ran a 14.051 at 95MPH?
what are other times people have ran in a 92-95 civic with an h22 swap?

Where did you run at?
Were you running full interior or stripped?
Drag slicks or street tires?
My friend ran a 14.2 quarter mile at California Speedway w/ stripped interior, street tires at 22psi, and his MPH was 96mph. I remember this so well cuz we were also talking about why my other friend w/ a WRX ran a 14.1, but with lower MPHs.
It probably has to do with the different gearings and how the H22A starts to haul as it starts to pull away from a GSR towards the end of the quarter mile, but then it's too late, the quarter mile is over.
You have good 60 foot time though, i don't see why you were not 13s.

lets get this straight...2.2 on street tires IS NOT THAT GOOD!
as for your times, the mph seems good, the driver needs some work

What setup/mods are you running?
What suspension and tires/rims?
I have yet to take my car to the track. I'm hoping for low 14s/ high 13s on street tires.

I was going 14.3 on street tires, no slicks, with a b18c1, with basic bolt ons only. I think the h22 swap should be in the 13's for sure.

14.3 is pretty good time, although you should be thrown into the 13's no problem.
I haven't had the chance to get a best ET with my swap yet.
And due to it being winter now (which sucks ***), won't be running it until spring, and hopefully make a trip to socal again to run my car this time.

I'm not one of 'excuses' but my driving was fucked up, secondary butterflies were closed the whole time, and had a vacuum leak at the throttle body.
I just can't wait till this racing season again so I can hit my best ET and get some more mods to own your lil EF mr. h22a traitor

to the person who asked what was done to the car:
-2.5 inch straight pipe exhaust
-custom cold air intake
-14 inch steelies front/rear with crappy tires at 18psi
-stock suspension etc
I just hope my h22 will hit 13's N/A and low 13's on the spray.

yeah, everyone seems to b right on track. the 60 fts r good even though some dumbass doesnt think so. the MPH is good for 13s but once again someone posts up times of the "oh godly" H22 that ran sub whatever it was supposed to run.
the more H22s that run the more the truth comes out that the H22 IS NOT a 12 second motor on slicks BONE STOCK. i thank u once again for the info.

na but i ran 13.6 at 2800 feet with only a 1.9 60' with just open filter and 2.5" exhaust, if i had a good CAI, header, gutted and a tid bit lower elevation i know i could of hit 12's, also i was using small slicks on the 13.6 run

u keep thinkin that. the baby slicks r good for lower gears. 1.9 isnt a bad 60 ft but even with bigger slicks ur goin to sacrifice 60s for MPH in the other end. when i ran a firebird my times sucked in my coupe but also my 60s sucked bad. i dont think firebird being at 2800 ft is goin to make as much of a difference as u think.

i don't know what the deal is with the attitude.

what's up bro, my h22 has only run a 14.7 at 96 with shifting problems, it weighed 2500 lbs at the time. My highest mph was a 97.89, so it seems like your car is right on par with what you should be running. What's your cars weight? is it a hatch, 2 door, or four and do you live in macon, just curious. later

i still think that at a lower elevation a header, good intake, gut the car and more practice on the slicks i could of came damn close to 12's
