How to check CEL?
I've got an H22 swapped, 93 Civic. How do i check the CEL. I heard i could use a paper clip somewhere, and it would blink a certain about of times, and that would atleast give me the code. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, it comes on only after the car has warmed up a bit, and my car doesn't like to start when it gets anywhere near warm outside

Re: How to check CEL? (Hapexamendios)
Thanks! Now do i need a copper wire, or will anything conductive work? And what are the codes listed that go beyond just numbers? Like this "P0010"

Yes - anything conductive. A paperclip works like a champ.
The P codes are OBD2 specific codes. Even though all 96-00 Civics are OBD2 and still spit out the blink code you get using the jumper method, if you had a scantool you could get access to those P codes.
And further, P0xxx codes are general OBD2 codes while P1xxx codes are manufacturer specific.
