How Can i BAR a K20A2 in my 1995 integra. in CALI. Questions on the swap
i want to pick up a wrecked rsx-s complete with motor and everything. i plan to put it in my 1995 integra LS. i had a few questions about doing this swap.
1: what else will i need that the RSX will not come with, to be able to complete the swap. besides hasport mounts and axles.
2: will i have a problem passing smog because my car is OBD1
3: can i get this car BAR'd in california with the k20a2 in it, and if so what all do i need to do.
any help is appreciated thanks.

first off bar is temporarily closed you will also need the fuel less return system that the rsx uses also if you have to ask how then you have not done enough research on the subject i have only seen one k20 swaped eg that was bar'd but everything from a donor rsx was installed into the eg wiring ecu emobilizer

if u wanna pass Bar wit a K swap then u will have to transfer everything form the rsx to the civic..u will have to cut a hole in the trunk of ur car or find a way to mount the rsx fuel tank to the civic and run a returnless fuel type system..ive only seen 1 civic that was able to pass bar and thats pretty much wut he did, fuel tank just sits in the tank strapped down

you dont have to transfer the rsx fuel tank you can use a fuel cell but you have to setup the fuel system as a return less fuel system no matter what

You guys missed a whole lots of parts that the ref wants;
- PCV, PCM (CA, manual or auto, if you have auto pcm and the engine is manual switch out the case, the ref just wants the # to match the engine type; auto/manual), EVAP (new system supersedes old stuff like obd1 or obd2a/b), return-less fuel system, basically whatever emissions is on the car that is being swapped over to the one that needs to be ref. Also to save headache, get a CA emission car since CA cars have different emissions from federal cars.

R crew racing, I believe, was the first to have the first K-powerd EG ref/bar'd in CA, but like twinsack said, EVERYTHING needs to be swapped over (fuel tank, wiring, ecu, immobilizer system, all smog equipment, etc). It's a big pain in the ***.
