a Honda City was a minisclue little honda with a turbo in it.
Heard it was pretty quick in it's day.
I thought it was a japan only model, but I guess not.
I think, from the pix I've seen from back in the day, it was way smaller
than the original civic in the 70's.
Like the size of the N600, if anyone has ever even SEEN one of those.
Where are you from, dude?
Santiago?
You're asking about that car in the wrong country.
I doubt there are many people here at HT who've ever even heard of
a City, let alone seen one. Or, know of any tech about one.
I only know about it cause I read every car mag cover to cover,
and they have all mentioned it at one time or another.
Don't think it's been made for quite a few years.

Thanks for the link.
I don't know much about the City. But, I've read it was a cool little car.
Wasn't it sort of like the Renault R5?
What was the last year it was made?

The City was a pretty bad-*** car.

There was a guy in GA that put an intercooled City Turbo engine in a 1978 1200cc Civic hatch and it was pretty bad-*** from what my co-workers tell me.

Those engines will be hard to find, but for a 1977 Civic I think that'd be the better engine opition.

I'm almost positive that they were fuel injected though, so be prepared to spend some serious money on a stand-alone ECU. It'll probably cost more than the car and the engine swap with turbo and intercooler.

No he's saying you're going to have to convert from carb to fuel injection....not all that easy/cheap to do.

No.

Your car uis currently carburated, meaingn it has no engine computer, witing, and sensors typical of an electronically fuel injected engine like the City Turbo is.

Again I think it will prove to be very expensive in relation to how much your car costs.

Stand-alone computers cost at least $900.00 for decent ones. I suggest this though because I doubt you will get the complete engine harness, ECU, and sensors for that City turbo motor even if you can find one.

I didn't mean to come off like I know more than anybody else.
I'll be the 1st one to tell you I'm mostly an idiot.
That's what my follow up post meant. And, I was giving credit to poeple who not only read, but who've seen such a rare car. (in US)
All I meant was, the first 3 or 4 reponses were "WHAT??"
Then there are 2 or 3 tech posts on a car that 10 people in the US have seen, let alone worked on.
And, how many Honda City's have you SEEN in your
lifetime? And, how many have you WORKED ON in your
lifetime.
I didn't KNOW the City was carbed not EFI, did you?
