Default Hot Tanked a Head...How To Prevent Rust...

i just recently hot tanked a b16 head and most of the oil is gone. anyway i can prevent the head from rusting? should i spray something on it? the bolts turned a little orange in color when i got it back from the shop.

wd-40 will work or just put them in regular oil ... they wont rust bad it is just surface rust ...

just spray wd-40 everywhere? let it dry?

spray WD40 almost everywhere then when your ready to install the head brake clean the parts that will contact your headgasket.

The head itself shouldn't be rusting. It's aluminum...

He's probably referring to the valvetrain and rocker assembly. In which case some WD40 or good ol' motor oil will work
