Default Hot Engine

My engine is really hot, seems hotter than others. My temp gauge says its normal, but I swear you can fry an egg on my hood. anyone else have this problem? what can i do or what should i check? jdm b16 in eg

not to be a dick but on what basis do you come to this assumption??? did u use and electronic laser thermometer or something? your engine might sit closer to the hood or something. if your temp reads fine...who cares!?!?!
