GSR Block + B16 head = Poorman's ITR. What is that, 11:1 compression ratio? That's no comparison to my stock B16A... keep on smokin' crack there buddy .

12.2's a pretty good time. For that I'd imagine you'd be running slicks, though.

15's???? what are you people on? my 91 hatch with an ls would run high 14s. This car is 400 lbs lighter with a JDM S1 tranny!

12.2 at LACR huh sounds like you really need to put the pipe down, Ball ran 13.0 at LACR stock GSR with slicks and an 80 shot of NOS in a EG and why would you put a B16 head on a GSR, does not make any sense for all motor. A stock GSR in a EG on slicks will pull 14.0's at LACR I have seen it over and over again. I would really like to see this 12.2 hatch run at LACR let me know next time you go.

i dont remember him saying anything about a b16 head on the block...i dont remember him saying anything about putting any kinda of a vtec head on...just that he was using a non-vtec motor which was a B18a and using the non-vtec cams from a B18b...this basic set up should run a 15 street tires that is

Guys, the JDM S1 doesn't make *that* much of a difference; how do I know??? I'm running one!! Basically it means you're halfway through fourth by the time you hit the end of the track, which means you have to do extra shifting, which last time I checked, slows you down considerably.

If this is the first time at the track, it's going to be running mid-to-low 15s. I've seen Cobra R's that were running mid 14s to low 15s just because it was the driver's first time at the track. We're not all John Force here , and we know the car isn't the major factor here; the driver is.... the track is very intimidating the first few times down it!
