HELP:Weak Vtec crossover in H22a
I have a 2000 si with an H22A that I am running a p28 on and we are having problems with the vtec crossover. It is there but it is extremely weak. We have voltage at the vtec sylenoid and we have ran it with the wide band and everything seems like it is in place. You can kind of feel it engage but its definetly weak. We ran the same ecu on my buddy's CL and vtec hits hard. Any ideas??

Re: HELP:Weak Vtec crossover in H22a (skunked)
I bet I may know what it is...
Check your Vtec solenoid wire and connection take it off the metal post and see if and when you give the wire a gentle tug if it moves... if it moves a lil... not sure if and what cars have it but you will want to get a rubber insulator that Honda made for the vtec solenoid wire it will keep it in solid and no movement of the wire...
Polyurethane mounts will sometimes shake the Vtec solenoid wire loose after a while and making a bad connection. Also try angling the pin inside just a tiny bit to make a better connection...
