I am trying to put a 99 b16a in to a 92 dx hatch and everybody keeps telling me I need a new distributor. What exactly do I need and where can I get it. What ecu do I need also?

u should use an OBD1 ECU (probably del sol vtec ecu) not sure if those come in OBD1, as for distributor, you wouldn't need a new one unless urs is bad.

 

They told that the wire harness on the 92 hatch will not work with my 99 distributor

 

You will need a Del Sol DOHC VTEC or a JDM SiRII OBDI ecu. You could also use a 92-95 P28 (Si or EX) ecu that's reprogrammed, which would be much easier to get. I have a 92 VX with a 99 B18C1 motor and I'm using the 99 distributor. If you get the harness with the motor then you can use the distributor and injectors since you'll have the plugs.
