b16 in 88crx si swap questions
question 1: I'm going to be doing a little racing (a couple autox's) but nothing too major and I was wondering about clutches.. Should I go with a racing clutch like the exedy or should I just go with an OEM clutch? Will I need the 32% greater holding capacity or should the OEM one be more than enough?
Question 2: The HASPORT site confuses me, If I get the b16 with 89-91 SiR intermediate shaft and SiR axles and Y1 tranny will I have to custom make axles with 90-93teg cv joints? Or will I be all set to go? Also will I have to remove the spacer in the hub and the dust seal on the outter joint?
Question 3: is it absolutely necessary to replace the cap and the rotor right away?? and would only need the cap and rotor or would I need the WHOLE distributor??
Thank you all so much for your time.

Answer 1: I can't help you much on this one although a nice aftermarket clutch would be good.
Answer 2: If you are getting the SiR axles and intermediate shaft then they will work if you have a DX or Si. It's not until you need to replace them when you need to worry about making axles or buying prefab ones.
Answer 3: I would replace the cap and rotor only if they are worn, which they probably will be. There is no US part that matches a 1st gen B16 distributor so getting a brand new one is pretty much impossible. You would only need to replace it if the bearing is going bad and the shaft has a lot of play to it.
