help , my car looses most of the power at high end
ok so this is intermitent . most of the time i'm fine but there have been about 5 times in the past 2 days now that whenever i hit VTEC my car makes a very loud noise and it jsut stops pulling .
now one thing here is that i'm still on stock civic exhaust , and considering it's comming out in about 20 days i didn't bother to fix anything on it . The muffler is rusted and the resonator fell out :D ... now ... could this stock civic exhaust be the problem ... i know i sort of asked this before but before my car was just running bad , no i ran nice times but at times i just get this problem . So could the exhaust cause something intermitent like this or it's time for me to start checking for other things too ?

Check your oil levels and yes exhaust leaks can hamper performance of an engine. Get it fixed.. Its a nice time for an upgrade..
