help!!!!!!!!!!!! h23 swap... not starting =(
Ok.... first let me tell you what i have.
91 Honda Accord Sedan (converted from automatic to 5-speed tranny)
93 H23 non-vtec motor
93 H23 prelude ecu (automatic - cant find manual ecu)
93 H23 5-speed transmission
all stock wiring accept using h23 engine harness
Here is the problem...
It seems like the ignitions system isn't functioning properly. the motor turns over when i turn the key to start it up, it keeps turning and turning and turning, but it doesnt want to start. It seems like the ignition isn't sending spark. I smell fuel... the gas lines are connected... a couple of vacuum lines are disconnected and that is about it. Does anyone have any suggestions, anything is possible.
Oh by the way does anyone know what size the alternater belt is for an h23 w/o A/C.

i have an h23 manual ecu for sale hit me up. you have an obdo car with an obd1 motor. who did the wiring. anyways to wire the external coil cut the blk/yel wire and out in the coil. coming out of the coil it goes back into the distributor. green wire is the negative on the coil which goes on the corner of the big plug of distributor

Re: help!!!!!!!!!!!! h23 swap... not starting =( (H23vtecEG)
Well I went to the junkjyard and pulled the ecu and wire harness out of a 93 prelude si, with the h23 motor still in it. I have all of the wiring from the motor, to the fuse box under hood. from there to the ecu and to the fuse box under dash inside car including both fuse boxes... all un-cut or damaged...
basically minus the body, i have a prelude si in the "garage" right now... dash and all--- will it fit in the accord. we will see.
That was a lot of work... until i figured out i could drop the dash in 6 bolts minus steering column.... then everything just unplugged and it was done.
anyways if i use just the harness from the motor to the ecu will it work.
if not what is the easiest way to use the si harness in the accord.
will the connections from the wire harness to the fuse boxes be the same?
or should i just use the prelude fuse boxes as well?
