Default heads... and cams.... really really want to know... help if you can answer 1 of my questions

1) how good are these b16a2 heads compared to R heads? i heard the only difference was that the itr head has a little Port and polish job? i dunno...

2)are the heads from the vtec del sols from 93-97 the same as the 99-00 si vtec head? i see it has a b16a2 stamped on the long block.. but just curious

3)is it worth upgrading the valve train on the b16a2 heads to like itr valve train?
(thinking about putting in ctr cams in there)

4)how good are the b16a2 cams? or are they still the shiettiest ones?

5)how does mileage play a role on cams? like i noticed ppl asking how much mileage is put on this cam... what does mileage do to the cam other then saying how old they are?

6) is ctr cams for 380 usd for the intake and exhasut cam a good price with around 20000 km on it?

1) the heads are pretty damn close. they both flow about 5% better than the gsr. you can slap an ITR intake manifold on a b16 and make good power.

2)yes

3)if you get ITR/CTR cams, its a good idea

4)no only the first gen ones were bad. they are good cams

5)i dunno, only thing i can think of is if the head isnt getting enough oil to lube the cam you can see damage but i could be wrong

6)id say so.
