Re: HASport Hydo to Cable convertion kit... (Bryant)
I emailed them yesterday with the exact same question.
Got an email back that they're in the testing phase, they hope to have the product available in the next couple of months.
But I've been hearing about this for a while so don't hold your breath.

Re: HASport Hydo to Cable convertion kit... (Mazmay)
Maz, we're finalizing a kit that we hope will allow cable users to run hydro trannies. We've hit a few snags along the way (product development ) but it appears that the worst is over.
If you're interested, let me know.
We also just took ownership of a jdm GSR tranny with oem LSD.
One day, it could be yours.....

Me personally, I'd rather use a cable tranny on a cable setup car, and a hydro tranny on a hydro setup car. But if you really don't want to part your hydro tranny and get a cable tranny (you'd probably make extra cash from doing so), then the HASport piece looks really clean. Joe & Justin did a clean setup, but John needs to take better picts (talking about the CRX link above).

God I would love a hydro tranny sitting in my rex. Let me know when something comes of this. I would get it immediately. Even though I haven't gotten a tranny yet

We will probably start production in a couple of weeks, the mount and conversion linkage may be ready as soon as the end of June. I'll post a press release on this site as soon as they're in stock.
BTW, one of my employees has the one pictured in Honda Tuning in his car and is driving around on the kit. In fact, it is a Civic Type R engine and CTR tranny. An article on that engine swap will appear in the August issue of Honda Tuning.
Initially the mount and conversion will be available alone or with the other two EF B-series mounts.

There will be a couple of ways to purchase the conversion.
1. just the hydro conversion linkage, without the mount.
2. the mount and conversion linkage for people who already have the Hasport EFB1 kit.
3. with the EFB1 kit with the hydro conversion and mount included.
By the end of summer it will be available in several other kits too. The prices will be determined after the first production. The $275 price is for choice 2 and is a high guess just in case it costs more than expected.

I sure wish they made one of these for the H22A tranny.
Cleaner than my ideas... at least the ones that would actually work.
Although, there is one....

Re: The H22 cable conversion (Wes V)
if you are refering to the difference in the upper mount from the cable and hydro trannies then YES they do require different mounts...

Re: The H22 cable conversion (Bryant)
i'm hopeing sooner than later, i did have a friend that by mistake placed a cable tranny case(where the mount goes) on his 96 gsr hydro tranny. at the time we never thought of trying to see if it would fit in my crx, at least tri it!

HASPORT Cable to Hydro Conversion....(Corporal-Jeff)
My shop has done numerous Bseries Civic/CRX swaps. The weakest link in the whole picture seems to be either the rare, failed bearing prone OBD0 DOHC vtec distributor, or the 3rd and 4th gear snchros in the cable trannies.
The distributor issue can be resolved by converting to OBD1 electronics, but I'm anticipating the release of this conversion so we can use the "more durable" Hydro trannys in the EF chassis.

This sounds really good. I have my jdm itr motor ready to go into my ef8 sir and I was gonna try to sell the itr tranny cause I did not want the hassle of 'converting to hydro'. I was gonna use my y1 tranny with the motor but would of had to buy an lsd for it. I cant wait for the release date, my cash is burning a hole in my pocket.
