Default has anyone done this???

i have been reading up on sum d16 stuff and i found a guy using a d16y8 crank block and head with b16 rods and 1g-gte pistons he said with a thick head gasked he has around 8.5:1 compression and it holds strong to 20psi. i was interested and just want to know if anyone has done it or knows anything about it.

The single cam guys found a better alternative which is using hypereutectic Suzuki Vitra pistons made by YCP. Better because of the piston availability, fits onto stock rods/aftermarket rods, price, and is proven. Also the compression ratio is in the 8-9:1.

Just make sure to get the I beam rods and not H beam rods otherwise you will be grinding your block so that they can rotate around.
