has anyone attempted an automatic to manual conversion?
hi everyone im kinda new here and i was just wondering if anyone has attempted an automatic to manual conversion?
the problem is i have a 1998 integra GS.
pretty much the engine is gone.
and i happened to come across a B18C5 swap (engine, tranny, ecu, shift link, ect.)
for a good price from a local salvage yard if i might add
and i was wondering if installation would be that big of a problem?
any help (input) would be greatly apprecieated, and thanks again in advance

Re: has anyone attempted an automatic to manual conversion? (omiehomie)
Just need to get the parts to do it. Shift linkage, pedal assembly, clutch lines/slave/master, then need to do a bit of wiring to keep the park safety switch happy..that or eliminate it altogether. Basically its just a bit of work..not hard though. I have done a few, not a big deal. You have some mount differences too, nothing major though that can't be dealt with. I did an integra YEARS ago though and I just can't recall exactly what the mount differences are..someone should be able to chime in though.

Upper tranny mount bracket (the one attached to the frame rail) is different from the manual equipped one. You will need to get an "auto to manual" upper tranny mount from somewhere like PlaceRacing...
