which harness do i need ? b18c in a EJ1
hi guys,
i'm working on a friends ej1 which has a 95' b18c swapped in it,
the stock d16 harness is in a bad condition so we want to buy a "new" harness that will bolt on directly on the car without alot of modifications?. which harness will i need? one from a 94-97 GSR?
thanks

if everything on your car is obd1, injectors, alternator, and dizzy then an obd1 civic EX harness will work, as well as a obd1 gsr harness.
What year is his car? Only asking because if its a 92 it'll have the VTEC already wired at the shock tower harness so adding a D16Z6 harness will lessen the amount of wire needed. If you use the GSR harness you'll still have to wire VTEC, knock and IAB's to the ECU so it'll kinda of a waste. The best bet is to use the cheapest D15B7/D16Z6 harness you can find and add the wiring for the above sensors to the ECU.
I have a gsr harness i used in my 95 cx hatch with a obd1 gsr. Its got everything besides vtec which was wired separately. Id sell it for 40 shipped if ya want.

the cars year is 1995,
i assumed that the gsr harness has vtec and iabs in it,
no knock sensor is gonna be used since our p28 dont have a knock board in it,
so your saying that the best way to do this is to get a d16z harness and add wires for iab's?
will i need to extend some of the sensors/injector wires?
thanks

If its a 92 civic, everything should be pre-wired, for a hatch at least. You can use a gsr engine harness (any year) and add the wires neccessary to the chassis, if they are not there already... hope that helps.
