I have an H23A vtec motor with a jdm b16 hydrolic tranny and ive never had to replace the starter but it broke last night. i cant figure out what starter to get? anybody? would it be a b16? h22? or stock civic starter? any help appriciated.

 

You need a b series starter but you have to get the one that has just one solid gear on it. Some starters have a little gear then a long smooth shaft and thats the wrong one

 

yeah thats the problem i was running into i went to honda and autozone and no one could tell me what starter it was. do you know which models have the short nose with the gears and not the smooth shaft? or what car id take that off?

 

Nope i got mine from a gsr but i have seen the other ones on a gsr so i have no clue

 

got it today. 92 integra starter.
