Icon2 H2B Smog issue

will going H2B on a oem H22 lessen the chances
for passing california BAR test ? i guess my Q is
> will having a diff tranny than oem mk it fail smog ?

great question, i wish i knew the answer. I have the same question.... cant find an answer no regular smog guys seem to know a darn thing about it.

anyone???

my buddy who bar'd his h22 said the guy told him he could ref an h2b setup. this was in Salinas,CA.

If you are BAR'd for an H22 then you will be fine. They don't care what transmission the engine is mated to.

ive heard that all manuals are the same, it only becomes an issue when it is an auto and u try to do a 5 speed. I heard it from a guy who said he failed a ref due to that... dont know how much truth there is to it, just thought id put that there too

you are going to get BAR'd, they may fail you.
When I got BAR'd for my B18B/OBD1 in my 91 hatch, they told me I could technically fail the visual for my YS1 because it was never offered with the B18B.
.....But he let it slide.
This was in San Leandro at the College Referee station
