Default h2b.does it still affect handling?

onwe downside of the prelude swap was the weight it put on the front end.for drag racing it wasnt a big deal, but roadracing made it a less desirable swap.does a b trans, save enuff weight to make it better to roadracers?

im no authority on the H2B swap, but ive read a few posts from some autocross guys that said its not that much of a difference. youre only talking about 35 pounds or so. you could alleviate that with a battery relocation and some light weight wheels.

the weight difference between a d-series swap and a b-series swap is quite a bit.
the weight difference between an b-series swap and an h-series swap is negligible.

forget what you've heard or read in the past.

I'm no expert, but the transmission is not what makes the H ~150lbs more than the B or D.

We already figured out it was not the transmission, as said here
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by turtleman321 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">no the b series trans is like 1 pounds lighter but with the plate and spacer for the flywheel they are probaly the same</TD></TR></TABLE>

and from the guy who actually did the swap...
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 2point2 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">the weight difference between a d-series swap and a b-series swap is quite a bit.

so why does the H weigh 150 more than the B?

and

I have yet to confirm but people in the allmotor threads have claimed that the balance shaft components (that are often discarded in H22A performance applications) weight over 20lbs.

The weight myth will never die..

i guess i should rephrase my question.for roadracing purposes, which would handle better, a itr motor setup or an h2b swap.both in same eg chassis.
