Ulev Vtec 5MT
I have looked and looked and I'm thinking of going for the H23 vtec. I like the numbers and the threads I read about the engine says it pulls harder then the H22 at lower RPM's. I don't plan on doing any other power mods to the car besides I/H/E. I really just want a sporty feel and look to the car I have my interior, exterior and suspention all planed out and now I'm researching engine swaps.
I do have a few questions that I haven't been able to find the answers to though.
1. I read in a thread on another site thet the H23's crank pully is made for only one belt so he wasn't able to run Power stering. Is this true?
2. I would like to stay obd2 but the swaps that I have read about the people swithced to obd1. Is there alot of propblems with this engine in obd2?
3. Another thing I see with this engine swap is alot of people using the h22 I/M and T/B. What is the reason for this and is it manditory?
4. I know the swap should be very easy but I also know that when swaping an engine there is alwasy a small thing you have to mod. On the engine/accord combo what small thing would I have to mod and what other parts would I have to buy besides the engine and ECU?
5. WHat other ECUs could work with this engine ( just wondering becasue I hear the H23 ECUs are hard to come by and alot of places I have looked at to get the engine from don't sell the ecu with it)?
