Hi guys !

First off nice to meet you, im new to the forums and not sure if the topic is in the right section but point me out if its not. I've recently purchased a civic eg with swap. Engine had bad lost motion assembly's in it so was already ticking

but i've since then replaced those. While i was in the proces of removing the head i've had the head resurfaced to ensure a flat head and good seal. I've also replaced the head gasket, same thickness as the previous one ( 3 layer metal gasket) and and did an auto to manuel and did a valve adjustment twice. Sadly underneath the ticking of the lost motion assemblies a second tick has surfaced which was not there before.

We used a stetoscope to pinpoint the noise and it seems to be coming from the back of the head. We've also unplugged the injectors one by one to eliminate those but this does not change the ticking. Also the machine shop checked valve seal so that would eliminate bent valves i assume.

Ive ran out of ideas and was hoping for some help. Ive added a clip of the sound
