I did a H22A swap into my 94 Hatch with Place Racing mounts. Is it normal for the motor to be tilted backwards? Thanks

 

yes this is normal...go pop the hood of a prelude and check it out..thats the way there mounted...mine looks the same..h22 in 97 dx...hope u like it...got any pics to share????

yes i did...its almost finished...i started last sat.....my work schedule sucks..i work 1:30 to 11 every day, so not much time to work on it...all the wiring is done...i had to rewire the injector resistor box, extend the alternaotr wires, and rewire the dist..also have to wire up egr and the iabs...swap hasnt been to bad so far..i got place racing mounts and the place racing shifter box..the shifter box worked pretty well...i cant wait to drive it...ill be ripping it up this weekend..have to break in the clutch though..

 

yes the h22 is supposed to be like that, it's also mounted in prelude's and accords the same way in order to align with the axles.

What lights do you have on your car, and do you have any more pics. It looks killer..

 

It has S15 Headlights and S2000 Tail lights with a KUSTOM widebody. Wheels are 18x9.5 on all 4 corners.

I really must say that I think I am in love. The car is sweet, how much did the whole thing run you. And was the headlights an easy or hard modification to do..

thanks for the good replies. I thought my car was going to get FLAMED because it's not JDM. But it is unique and it does have some power. By Dec it will have turbo and nos. Here is a picture of Sharon at HIN.

 

how did your b20vtec blew? I think i meet you before ( im bokguay * chris friend * ) but anyways didnt you get it built at 161822? or im mistaken ? hehe sorry to hear the b20 is gone =T but was wondering do you have the header for sale ? maybe other parts too but i'll let you know if your willing to part it out.

what kind of axles did you use? meaning did you just go with the 90-93 teg and accord shaft combo or buy some performance ones?

 

B20 blew with a mis-shift on the freeway. Nah it wasn't built by that shop. motor was sent to various places ie machine work, sleeves, etc. but put together by a friend. With 85 bore and all the works the motor was not good for daily driving. Heated quickly during the day, but a killer at night. I gave my parts headers to my friend.
Axles: for the H22 I'm using some custom ones from some shop. The motor guys put them in. But I think they're made up of accord and teg pieces but not sure.

 

dang misshift? brought the rpm up to 9-10k ? damn that is scary ****.. what kind of headers is it?

 

yea I just got on the freeway and I wasn't paying attention and only went from 4th to 3rd. It was funny cuz i just put on a short shifter and that was only my second time driving with it. I miss shifted harder before but I don't know what happened. When we took it apart the valves were toasted, rings gone, 2 pistons scratched, and one of the walls were scratched. Damn motor went to hell and it wasn't even that bad. Oh Well. The headers are the DC Polished. They were just blowing some hot *** air so they got that gold bronze color real quick.

 

 

is it the JDM dc 4-1 header ? If it is then if you can get it back from your buddie, I wouldn't mind taken it off your hands
