"Poison" few question for h22a
I have been reading alot of your post on h22 swap . I gather alot of info on it. You said you have the wiring diagram to fit the existing one. I have a 94 Civic coupe Ex getting ready for the h22a swap. How can i get this diagram and the parts list from you . Email or mail?
Also where do you cut the 6 inch hole at for the linkage?
Where to get HCP mounts ?
Does the injector resistor box comes with the "complete swap" that im going to order from IAS or HMO?
And las but not least , since i wont be able to keep the power steering, what do u do to the line that goes over the motor mount to the pump ?
THanks a bunch

If you send me your EX and Prelude Harness, I will modify it to fit the H22a and add the resisters inline on the injectors. The resistor box normally doesnt come with the swap. Send me both harnesses with $115 and I will solder everything together for you.

How many of these have you done before? I'm about to start my swap in a couple of weeks and I was going to send my harness to HASport, but that's $300. If you've done this before, I'd definately send it to you instead. Let me know.

Re: "Poison" few question for h22a (UpstateCivic)
I've done a few...for myself and for a friend. I have an H22a here, so everything will be of proper length. Total asssembly time runs about 5 hours, if that give you any kind of idea on my attention to detail. I'm charging $100, and $15 for the Resistors and wire. If you want to buy the resistors, take off $10...so $105. Also, I furgot $10 for return shipping would be appreciated. So $125 shipped back to ya. I can have it done ina few days after I get it.

Can someone with the proper diagram, a soldering iron, and some time be able to figure it out even it he had not done it before?

hey Cvexh22, for the wiring diagrams, I can email them to you. just PM me your email addy or shoot me an email civlude@hotmail.com.
you can build your own harness or go with one of the people above to do it for ya as well
having an ex, wiring will be cake. all that is *required* to wire up is knock sensor.
as for the cutting the hole for the shift linkage -- you'll need to cut a 2x3 in hole about 3 inches in front of your cup holders onto the chassis to feed the cables thru.
for HCP mounts, contact H22EK or Newman. You may also contact Timmay (which is one of my buddies) for H22 mounts as well.
As for the resistor box, when I purchased my swap from HMO, it came with the swap. Sometimes they do not come with it, however, I would make sure it does, since it's much better to run with a resistor box.
It's not required, but i would highly recommend it. Also make sure when purchasing a JDM swap, to include the MAP sensor, since the jdm preludes have their MAP sensor bolted to the firewall instead of on top of the throttle body.
For the PS, you need a hose and put a little bit of fluid inside the steering rack, then loop the hose so it keeps the piston in the rack lubed just enough.

Re: "Poison" few question for h22a (98HB)
Just wanted to clarify something, if your map sensor is on your throttle body then is it USDM? I bought my motor from HMO and steve said it was a jdm, but my map sensor was on the TB. Just want to know.
Another thing to clarify if usdm or jdm, is US motors have "H22A1" or "H22A4". Same as B series being "B18C1" and such.
JDM motors just have "H22A" or "B18C" regardless of the years they were produced.
