Jason I am in Long Island, I don't know you but I think I know who you are. Did you have a gold accord with type s lude motor in it? I had a champaigne 96' ex accord then it got wrecked I had my h22 in that.

Re: H22a into 93' civic help out...please (WadZii)
Jason, could you please post up what wiring is needed for the EG DX,Vx,Cx? i have a H22a in my Accord, and thinking about buying a hatch and shoving the motor in it. of course, i did my own Accord swap, but, if you could, please tell me what all is needed. I'm going to go with the hasport mount kit though.
What i know:
Mount kit, Axles, wiring for vtec, wiring for knock sensor
Is there any "banging" of the chassis to make the motor fit, or will it slip right in? my engine lift has a spool on it, so i can crank the motor any which way. I'm hearing to get a VX hatch, cause then i won't have to wire for the EGR? how hard is it to wire the EGR in? Did you change your front suspension at all, if so, what did you go with? I'm trying to ask as many questions as possible, that way i won't have any loose ends on this swap like i did with the accord, which was pretty simple anyways.

Also, what made you go with the HCP kit? Hasport is like a 45 minute drive from my place, and wanted to go with them just cause of that reason alone, have people witht he hasport kit had experiences such as broke axles, broke mounts? What Axle combo do you need to run witht he HCP mounts? With the has sport mounts?

Re: H22a into 93' civic help out...please (GraphiteAccord)
Well funny enough thing is that the wiring from a civic and f22/h22 standpoint is so very similar. If you go to Hasports sight you can get a diagram matching that shows the pinout for the ECU. THe only things that have to be added are the Vtec sensor and solenoid wires, EGR, and O2 sensor if you dont have a DX.. Everything else is pretty much in the same configuration.
I even did the wiring myself since it was soo easy. All I am going to do is run O2, and other wires apart from the harness, since i didnt want to take the whole damn thing apart, then run those wires straight to the ECU harness..
One thing you will need though is alot of hands. Even though I went with HCP because I liked the idea that they used stock mount points without having to reweld everything, it does sit closer to the back of the car than the others I believe.. One of my friends actually had to stand up on the motor just to get the rear mount on..
Things you will need:
Mount kit of your choice
Delsol or EX/SI Radiator
Delsol lower radiator hose
94+ Upper radiator hose
Longer fuel line, especially if motor is JDM
Drill with either a 9/16 bit or 1/2 bit for drilling new mount holes if using HCP mounts
Sawzall or other tool to cut off 1' inch of tranny mount.
Shift linkage
90+ Accord or 92+ Prelude shifter

I had my motor for about a year now. Got it from the guy that deals with http://www.jdmclub.com directly now before they started shipping them over here offically.. Very good place to get engines and they send you everything you will ever need and more for your swap.

Jason, thanks a lot for the write up for me. you explained everything i needed to know. Now, why must you rewire the O2 sensor? Cause the non DX's are 1 wire, and the DX is a 4 wire? I was leaning towards the VX, now i'll start looking for the DX. thanks!

Yeah it is a 4 wire, but the car I got had a swap already it in before
and they had put a CX motor back in there so I have to rewire my engine over
again. Other DX's dont have to worry about it.
Should be taking pictures soon, so I can give you a better visual.

Well when I ordered it it took about 2 months. But again that was back in the day before Jdm.club was formed. But trust me their engines are of good quality..
I have seen some disasters looking at some engines in some shops, with people that paid just about the same as I did back then..

You can use stock by why chance overheating with the small radiator. Just get a Ex/SI or Delsol dual core radiator. It take up the same space but is twice as thick.

Re: H22a into 93' civic help out...please (civicky)
Okay more of an update. Got the car started yesterday and everything was in working order except for a few minor things here and there.. I ended up using the throttle cable from the Accord because the Civic one wouldnt line up properly to the bracket.. And since I have a JDM lude engine the entrane for the fuel line is on the drivers side of the car, while the actual fuel filter/line is on the passengers side. So all I did was use the longer on from the accord and hooked it up. If you dont have a line available you should be able to get it for cheap at any parts store..
Other things.. Used EX/SI radiator with Accord bottom hose and 94+ integra top hose. Just had to cut it a little to fit it on top.. So far no leaks and everything is well..

hey Jason Kidd...how's the HCP mount look? i heard that it makes the engine lean to one side (left to right or right to left..can't remember)...is that true? Because i've been thinkin about the HASport kit. also, how do the axles line up? i heard the HCP loves to break axles cuz it doesn't line things up straight...true?
