Default H22A EGR simulators

Do they exist? Will they work with OBD1? If not, is there any way to turn off a code 12 on a P13?

I don't think so- unless you were to use a chipped p28 as it doesn't look for the EGR or knock

I would, but I have been told by so many people that the P28 is no good for an H22A. Does not map the fuel properly like the P13 can (so I've heard).

get a p28 and tune it for your engine, that way it maps the fuel and timing perfectly for your setup.

Rule #1: If you want to **** with an H22, you have to scrap the p13. There's nothing wrong with an P13 ecu on a stock engine with everything hooked up, it's just that the P28 has been figured out 10 times over by ECU hackers over the years; and it does the job.

also, the EGR system uses a linear transducer. it other words, it's like trying to simulate the TPS sensor. It's not easy to do and I've never heard of anyone who has sucsessfully accomplished this

ALSO note that the EGR code does not affect the engies performance from my experience. You can put off the p28 if the engine is fairly stock if you can stand the yellow light.

Right, but I need to find somone who can reprogram my P28...
And can I just "swap" the P13 out with the P28 and vice versa? I know that the harness plugs in the same way...

**** no. I've read about people doing that on here, but it's a stupid idea. I think the engine will run half *** but will most likey die a slow death.

Do some searching for chipping a p28.. there are guys with good reps on here who can take care of the nerdy stuff if you're willing to pay a bit of money.

In my experience, I have yet to see an EGR simulator. I tried making a resistor to re-route voltage to the ECU and "trick" the ECU into thinking the EGR is hooked up, but voltages change so much like the TPS (like 2point2 said above), and realistically, it's just not worth to even bother with it.

You would have to really like the P13 ECU to put enough time/effort into doin it. A P72 or P28 chipped would do the trick by just getting rid of it.

when i am ready to make the swap from the P13 to the P28 (once i can get it programmed), will it just be plug and play?

or will the wiring pinouts be totally different?
