Default h22a eg traction bars worth it?

is it really worth the money to get traction bars for my eg? i am really taking it into consideration but many people have said there really not worth it but others say that they are. anyone already got traction bars on their h22 eg's does it make that much difference when launching your car?

Hell yes traction bars are worth it. On street tires I've been able to pull 2.0 60's. On BF DR I get 1.9's. I've got the full race TB and they freakin rock.

I'm seriously considering them. If you get wheel hop you need them.

They definitely help with slicks. They're is more strain being put on the suspension when those slicks bite.

my only experience with them was a b16 and slicks. I guess if you have torque its a diff story . Waits to be flamed by b16 owners...

Isn't there a problem with traction bars hitting the crank pulley in an H22A EG???

What mounts are you using?

Sometimes its a bitch to get them on, mine fit perfectly fine with Full-Race TB and Hasport mounts.

They do help a lot, and all my friends with drag cars run them as well. They help with slicks also.

do you have the new style hasport mounts, or the old style??

reason i ask is that my swap is about done with the new style, and id really like to order up those full race traction bars, just want to make sure they will work before spending the cash.

I have the old style, but Full-Race will make sure they work. If they won't, they will give you back your money.

Just call and order directly from Full-Race. And tell them your concern. Make sure they offer you a gurantee.

just for everyones futrue information:
i just ordered my Full Race traction bars for my 93 civic with H22.

i checked with them as far as fitment. they said their tractions bars will clear the original Hasport motor mounts, and will clear even better with the new styl hasport egh2 mounts.

i know i cant wait to get mine.

by the way, they were very informative on the phone, and very speedy about taking my order... no BS... very nice to deal with, its around 2 pm here, and they are even shipping them out today.

to bad im in PA, and they are comming from AZ... it will take a week or so to get here.

$350.00 + 15.00 shipping.... not bad... i expected shipping to be more.

I think the sway bar may need to be notched, but that's about it. However, my buddy has an H22A EG with HCP mounts, and he told me that the crank pulley will hit the traction bars...but I'm not sure if that only applies to the brand of traction bars that he had. I guess we'll see!

what brand was it? I mocked up a jimfab traction bar, and it def won't work. I heard the Lcon's are better for that swap.
