that's funny, according to the gear ratios and final drive, you'll top out at 155.9 mph at 7400 rpms. (5th .870, FD 4.266, for M2F4, M2B4, M2J5, M2A4 trannies).

Wheel diameter makes a difference too. Maybe he was on some 18" spinnas

You are correct, that speed is for my car with my 16's and a decently meaty tire. its possible if he was on 19's with a 40 series tire or so, but would that fit? Either way, an H will take you faster than you'll ever need to go in a honda .

I don't know if it would fit but I have noticed the difference before when switching rims/tires.

i've done a similar speed. hard to tell exactly, since I still have a del sol 's' cluster that ends at 130 (I was at 7400 rpm's on my tach, but that's off a little).

Mine ends at 125
I've gone waaaay past that though. [on a closed course, of course]

of course, i thought about adding that in my post too . I, I mean a professional driver, topped my car out a 'race wars' at the old abandoned airport in the middle of nowhere. I, I mean the professional driver, was running a s2000 with at least $100k under the hood.

you're special, aren't you. my friend did something, but I don't remember what... Right buddy. that statement screams I'm full of ****. if in the off chance its true, you have no business around cars if your friend is doing things to your car that you dont understand. to increase top speed, you would need a new tranny, new final drive, be able to rev higher, or have larger wheels, but I'm sure you knew all that, didn't you

Everything you post just screams 'I don't know what I'm talking about'. Those of us who do understand the intricacies of tuning cars can tell. Don't worry, you'll figure it out someday. In the meantime lighten up.

pgmfi.org can teach you how if you can solder well, or you can find someone on that board to do it. Katman (among others as well, his name is the only one that comes to mind at the moment) here on h-t does it too. If you know what chip you want, usually the place you buy if from will chip it for you.
