I wouldn't swap in an H22 if i were you, "your friend" will have suspension problems, and the h22 swap in a del sol isn't all plug and play. tell your friend to save up some more money and get the B18C1, it will save you guys a lot of headache

Have you ever owned or even driven an H22 swapped civic or delsol? Judging by your comments you obviously have not. Please do not respond to post like this unless you actually know facts and not myths.

As for the original poster, the H22 is a great swap. Go to the hybrid section and just look around. There is plenty of wonderful information to walk you easily through the whole swap. Check out the H22 faq thread at the very top Best of luck

yeah bro, h22 in a del-sol rocks, my buddie has it down here, its a bit of a tite fit, a bit of cut and weld is requaerd, but it rocks man, you will have some traction problems, basicaly puting all that power to the ground in 1st gear but it revs high and fast, so it will be ok... my buddie does 14s in stock winter tires haha!... Ill ask him for some info and post it here...

well ive done some research but very little...i was told i will need cutom powersteering lines and what not and that also the engine will lean more towards the firewall...nothing that sounds like a HUGE deal...and this motor just needs to get him by....he also has a 2002 civic and wants to eventually do a k20 swap into that but he already has the h22 so he might as well use it ya know? for the heads out there thate have done this ....approx how many hours did it take just for the swap? we are gonna take a weekend off to do this...so hopefully 2-3 days will be enough...also before we swap the motor we want to do new pulleys and belts...plugs and wires...header,intake and intake manifold...for the h22 motor is there any certain parts out there that will give us some extra horsepower compared to other brands? thanks alot for the help!

Ive got oem vtec strut bar
tokico illumina shocks with skunk2 coilovers
gsr spec brembo cross drilled slotted brakes.

Car handles fine, car stops like nothing else.
mt drag slicks, i dump my act clutch with xtreme pressure plate at 6000 rpm, NO spin, it took off like a airplane. You shouldnt be racing without slicks anyways.

Oh and i forgot, its quicker than itr

Just leave this swap up to all the big boys that get over the fact that you have to spend a little extra time to be quicker.

Check out the stickied H22A FAQ topic - all you need to know is in there, and you treat the Del Sol swap JUST like you would the Civic swap.
