h22 swap help
i got a h22 in my eg and i need radiator pipes.
Do they make hard pipe for it or some type of custom piping?
i got a wicked crease in the stock pipe and it's weak so i would like to replace soon.

Re: h22 swap help (92 CIVIC HATCH VX)
You can use the universal hoses that bend easily or check out the first page of this thread for some hoses that would work.

Re: h22 swap help (92 CIVIC HATCH VX)
try to get measurements and remember the bends it needs and go from there, its really not to hard to fab up hoses to make them work even if it is for a little while until you find what really works good.

1992 Integra LS Upper Radiator Hose - approx. $15
- 1994 Del Sol VTEC lower radiator hose - approx. $15
This was in the h22 write up at the top of this forum.... you really need to do a better job at reading next time.

You can use 92-96 Prelude Radiator hoses but you'll have to trim them a little bit, those are the ones i can in my car. Are you running a stock radiator?

yah, but those don't line up perfectly. Only the lower one was a direct bolt in for me... I had to chop up the upper one still.

I'm sorry, i will read next time. The whole thing with this is their saying it's not a direct fit.......... so you need to read before posting.
I need a direct fit with out wasteing 15 dollars. my bottom hose connects fine the top has a terrible crease in it and it scares me because it might blow one day.
using fluidyne also?

yea I got those hoses too and I had to cut the upper one to make it fit. its no big deal.
its not wasting 15 dollars. you pay the 15 and then you mod it slightly and it works. whats wrong with that?

Re: h22 swap help (92 CIVIC HATCH VX)
probably, but not so much that it would matter.
I've been running the same cut up hoses for 2+ years and about ~35K+ miles with no problems. Just clamp em down tight and you're fine.

Re: h22 swap help (92 CIVIC HATCH VX)
also, what Rad are you running? I ran into problems with the sohc civic rad because the necks were too small. I ended up getting a Del Sol B16 rad and fan, as well as the lower rad hose. I also used the 90-93 integra upper hose with quite a bit of trimming.
If you use the del sol rad and fan, you dont need to trim the fan blades of the shroud I figured that one out by accident

I used the sohc rad with the hoses mentioned above. Just a little trimming and clamp them on. Worked great for me.

I mounted a 14" slim fan on the opposite side of the rad (between bumper & Rad). Here is a pic...

It's not my daily driver so I'm not too concerned. That could be an issue for some people for sure.
