Default H22 oil leak

I noticed a dribble of oil on the pavement today. I jacked up the car and found that the oil was leaking from a bolt that was about to fall out of my engine block. I tightened it back in but I have no idea what the bolt is... It is on the DRIVER's side right above the axle.. It's a 12mm bolt with a washer. Right above the oil pan and axle...

Please let me know. Thanks
Anthony

picture available upon request i suppose

EDIT: Driver's side (sorry)

Looking from the rear of the engine (underneath car...) If you look directly above oil pan to the left of driver's side axle support that connects to block.

Is it on or behind the timing cover?

Get a pic if you can.

Is there just oil around it or does it appear to have oil leaking FROM that bolt?

It appeared that oil was coming out from that bolt.. Not to mention that the bolt was only in by about 2 threads.. I turned it and it fell it; oil fell out with it as well.

There was oil all around from underneath the bolt also.

Did the oil leak go away after tightening it?

that bolt is there for when you need to line up the balance shaft timing. as long as it is tightened you should not have a problem
