would i need to hook up the knock sensor with the p28 ecu... i was told that vtec would not engage without the knock hooked it... (EG sWaP)...

 

you dont need to hook up the knock sensor if you're running a P28. P28 doesnt sense for a knock.

If you have an ECU that senses a knock sensor and you didnt hook it up....VTEC will still engage but it just wont run its potential because the ECU will throw a CEL. It will still engage though
