h22 knock sensor ??

h22 knock sensor ??
I have a JDM h22a in my 95 accord ex and I was wondering if the knock sensor actually needs to be hooked up in order for the car to run. The knock sensor on the car right now is crack and I am having a replacement sent to me. I just wanted to know if I could drive the car without the sensor being hooked up and if it would harm the engine for the week that there isnt one in there. Thanks!

yeah you can drive it w/o the knock sensor. just be sure you have the tune on it so at high rpm it won't detonate and blow......there will be nothing to turn back timing. if it's stock just make sure you got ignition timing at stock and fuel pressure at stock and you'll be all good.

vtec wont activate wothout the knock sensor because it throws a check engine light...but u can still drive it..just dont beat on it
