H22 into 94-97 accord?
The mod in the accord forum deleted my post so Im posting it in here.
My friend wants to swap an h22 into his accord. He has a 97 accord.
His questions are:
What ECU does he use?
What from the prelude will he need?
What from the accord will he need?
Axles?
Is it a straight bolt in affair?
Any mods to the car(cutting stuff like on civic)?
I know some of these but want to double check.
Thanks
P.S. MODS, IF YOUR GOING TO DELETE THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I DID WRONG. THANKS

he can use the p13 or p72 ecu...if he wants power sterring he will have to get that stuff from the lude motor ( the accord pump, bracket & line wont work)you can use the accord axles and halfshaft...you can use the accord tranny (the only difference with the trannies is the gearing is longer on the accord tranny)
it is a straight bolt in..(no need for motor mount kit or cutting)

When my H22a was installed, I needed the prelude A/C bracket in for my Accord compressor to work. Also, the driverside motor mount will need to be from the prelude, all other mounts can be accord.
Remember that the 96-97 Accords are OBDII, amke sure the prelude motor is of the same years or newer. You can get an older prelude motor, but you will need to convert to OBDI.
There is no cutting involved. Just a striaght drop iin affair.
Before you swap the motor, it is easier to perform some routine maintenance on the prelude motor before it gets installed (i.e. timing belt, water pump, etc...)
Hope this helps

If he gets a jdm motor keeping powersteering is easy.
All you need is a 97 and up powerstering bracket and the
pump bolts right to the motor and lines up perfectly. You don't have
to get two different hoses connected together or any of that non sense
see that is a 94 accord powersteering pump and hose.
